Update: Finals!! After over 4,000 votes we finally have a winner: “Black Tie” is our Season 1 winner! It absolutely destroyed Tracy Does Conan in the finals taking 80% of the votes. Thanks everyone for playing and if you think it’s worth it we may start a May Madness here with Season 2. In the past, March Madness has only meant a hit in the ratings for 30 Rock fans. I thought it would be fun if we had a little 30 Rock March Madness of our own. So here we have it: The 30 Rock Tournament! (Click to see the bracket)

Note: Making a bracket for 21 was a bit awkward. I didn’t so much seed the episodes as list them in order.
I gave first round byes to episodes that won awards or were submitted as Emmy tapes. But it wasn’t a perfect system.

In the Final Four I have “Jack-tor” “Tracy Does Conan” and “Fireworks” and either “Black Tie” or “Hardball.”
Should be exciting!

Matt, the episodes you listed as your top four are my season one favs, but Black Tie’s gotta be my top pick. Very fun game idea by the way!!

this is great, should be fun. personally I’m rooting for Fireworks, Black Tie, Hiatus and The Rural Juror! (if I had to pick one I guess Hiatus)

What a reminder how great season 1 was. I had a hard time choosing between even these ones and looking at the bracket, I can see it won’t get much easier.
I too would declare Black Tie as my top pick. What a great episode.

I like Rural Juror just fine (especially the Jenna/Liz fight) but im surprised theres not more love for The Break-Up. Between the Dennis’ letter and Liz list I feel like its the stronger choice here. “Though other women have bigger boobs than you, no one has as big a heart…”

No that Hiatus is out of the running I’m officially rooting for Fireworks. Here’s why:

I totally agree Maria! Fireworks is my all time favorite episode! It has little bits of EVERYONE, which is why its amazing.
Liz’s speech at the end is simply the best.

Black Tie vs. Fireworks is really tough! Fireworks is amazing, but Black Tie is like nothing else. (Also, after reading Tina’s book I do love the story behind Black Tie-spoiler?-it was the last episode of their first order and they were sure they were being cancelled so they just went completely crazy and didn’t hold back, they even originally called it ‘goodbye, America’)

I love Black Tie but, for me, Tracy Does Conan was a funnier episode but it is what it is.

Hard Ball is actually my favorite episode of Season 1, but these two come right after it (along with Cleveland). Happy with the results.

All right then, we’ll get started after 30 Rock ends it’s season here.
Shark Eyes is probably right. It definitely comes down to Rosemary’s Baby and Sandwich Day for me.
Both are 2/3 of the best episodes ever. I love Liz and especially Jack’s plots in Rosemary’s Baby but don’t care for Jenna/Kenneths. Sandwich Day love Liz and Jenna/Tracy/Kenneth, but don’t care for Jack’s… I suppose a rewatch will be in order.
I have a lot of favorite episodes in Season 2 though so it’s going to be rough. Ludachirstmas, 210, Sucession, Subway Hero, Greenzo, Secrets and Lies…
