Wow Season 5 spoilers already… It looks like when 30 Rock returns, Elizabeth Banks won’t be a series regular now that she’s in a relationship with Jack: Question: On 30 Rock, Jack’s lady Avery is preggo. Ausiello: Nope, it sure doesn’t. While Banks will definitely be back, there are no plans for her to become a series regular. As my former Scrubs costar told me back in January, “[I’m] having too much fun making movies [to commit to a TV show]. The [TV jobs] are a really fun thing to do between movie gigs.”

Wow, people didn’t like her? I kinda wished she’d stay on, at least for a bit. Poor Jack looked so happy when he found out he was gonna be a dad!
What do you think it’ll be? I’m going with hysterical pregnancy, but it could be miscarriage (too dark/controversial for the show), not his baby (possible), or she was just faking it (also possible). Other guesses?

I’m guessing hysterical pregnancy or she’s faking it…
But I wouldn’t be opposed to Jack having a little late in life baby to parade around Nantucket. <3 Bianca.
Don’t want Avery to stick around too much or she’d eat up all of Jack’s screen time when he could be interacting with the rest of the staff.

I guess my comment was probably a little harsh. I’m just having some deja vu with the Scrubs plot. Scrubs was my absolute favorite show, and when E.Banks character got pregnant it was really the beginning of the end for it.
Hysterical pregnancy has been done a lot recently, so that is looking pretty plausible. I’m hoping for faking, but her face looked pretty convinced.

“Avery won’t be regular” doesn’t mean she is not pregnant ! UNFORTUNATELY ! What do you think about that?
But it’s maybe a hope for me because i don’t like Avery and i don’t want a pregnancy !

This gives me some hope. I’m VERY glad that she won’t be a series regular. I found that Avery’s character brought nothing to the show and I was so disappointed when she said she was pregnant. I too really hope that the baby either isn’t Jack’s or that it’s a fake/phantom pregnancy. I want Jack to have more screen time with Liz and the rest of the 30 Rock team, like the 30 Rock of previous seasons!

Well, I don’t necessarily think Avery was lying (unless she found out about Nancy and told Nancy she was pregnant so that Nancy would give up on Jack–OMG I just thought of that). But I do think maybe it could be a false pregnancy; like she took a test and it was a false positive (even Liz went through that). After all, she’s on that crazy birth control pill where you only have your period once a year. I’m sure that does nutty things to one’s hormones. And once they realize it was a false positive, perhaps they’ll both feel some relief, which will cause them to reassess their relationship and they’ll end up breaking up. Yay!

Or they could just keep her pregnant and not have her appear in every episode. The show is “30 Rock”, not “The Romantic Misadventures of Jack and Avery”.

Yeah, I’m kind of just hoping that she’s pregnant, and just won’t appear in ever episode.
I, who seems to be in the minority, love her and am looking forward to seeing more of Avery on the show.

please no Jack-Avery-baby. I hate that plot so much! And I don’t want anymore Avery! She gets fantastic lines but her delivery is flat. I need Jack to be back with the rest of the cast; not romancing every woman he meets.

I’ve hated the whole love triangle storyline in this season. I loved it back in season 1, because Phoebe was a character I loved to hate and it was more believeable, but Avery’s a character I just loathe! I don’t believe Jack loves her, especially if he was carrying on with Nancy (also annoying) at the same time. I really don’t want a Jack/Avery baby. As my heroine (lady hero) would say: “Blerg.”
More Jack & Liz please writers.
