30 Rock nominated for TCA Award

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

30 Rock is once again nominated for the Television Critics Association Award!  Last year it won the Outstanding Achievement in Comedy award where it is nominated again this year.

Both Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are nominated in the Individual Achievement in a Comedy award.  Tina is the only woman in the category.  Last year she became only the 2nd woman to win it.  (The TCA is usually male dominated.  The only women nominated this year were Tina and Glen Close.)

There’s some pretty tough (and good!) competiton this year so good luck 30 Rock, Tina, Alec and all the nominees.

The TCA Awards will be presented August 1st.

Nominees under the break.

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

First off, don’t forget there’s a new episode tonight!  Tell everyone you know to tune in, then check back here after to discuss.

Secondly Tina won a People’s Choice Award last night for Funny Female Star.  Congrats on that!  I don’t know if she’ll have room to display all her awards, but I’d have to imagine she’ll give priority to her Emmys :P.  Sorry PCA’s…

And Thirdly, the Image Award nominations were announced.  “30 Rock” is nominated for best comedy series and Tracy Morgan is nominated for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.  Everytime I see Tracy’s name by NAACP Image Awards, I think of the Jefferson trailer from “Corporate Crush.”
