NBC’s Emmy Campaign

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011

If you’ve visited this site before you may have noticed I’m an Emmy nut. So while there’s no 30 Rock there is Emmy Award season all summer.

NBC is gearing up too.  They sent out mailers to academy voters to campaign their shows.  These are not the official submissions yet.  (When a show is nominated they send in 3 tapes with 2 episodes each.)  But they do try to send great episodes for the voters to sample.

This year, 30 Rock sent out “When it Rains, it Pours” and “TGS Hates Women.”  What do you think?  Good choices?

(You can see all of NBC’s campaign here.)

Some big dates ahead:
June 6 – Ballots posted on Emmy website.  We’ll post 30 Rock’s entries.
July 14 – Nominations announced.
Sept 10 – Creative Arts Emmy’s.
Sept 18 – Primetime Emmy’s.

Emmy Seating Chart – Order of Awards

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

The Huffington Post has posted a few pictures from inside the Emmys theater where a seating chart has been set up.  Under the actor the # of their award is listed.  It seems this year they’ll follow the same pattern and hand out all the comedy awards first.  (Saving Best Comedy Series for second to last of course.)  Be sure to tune in on time!2010 Emmy Seating Chart

It looks like Tina has a front row center seat!  Sadly this also seems to confirm that Alec won’t be in attendance.  He has a charity event he’s already committed to.

Order of Awards:

1 – Supporting Actor Comedy
2 – Comedy Writing
3 – Supporting Actress Comedy
5- Best Actor Comedy Series
6 – Best Actress Comedy Series
26 – Best Comedy

Poll #15 — Guest Actor Nom

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

I finally thought of something for a poll!

With the Emmy Nominations just around the corner, we know that 30 Rock usually dominates with their guest actors. This time around, 10 fantastic actors submitted for the Guest Actor Comedy Emmy category. We all know more than one will probably get nominated, but what I want from you is, if only one could have the nom, who would you want?!
