30 Rock’s Emmy Episodes

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Finally.  Here’s the 6 episodes 30 Rock submitted for the Outstanding Comedy Series race.

Tape 1:  “Rosemary’s Baby” & “Greenzo”
Tape 2: “Secrets and Lies” & “Episode 210″
Tape 3: “Succession” & “Cooter”

It’s competition is tucked away after the jump.

So what do you think?  Can 30 Rock pull off a repeat win with this line up?

Predicting Emmy Submissions

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

After getting nominated based on their one episode submission, shows in the Best Series category choose 6 episodes to send in to showcase their season.  They are on 3 tapes of two episodes a piece.  This year 30 Rock was nominated for sending in “Cooter.”  Now they choose six episodes to run in the Outstanding Comedy Series race.

30 Rock has submitted their tapes and it should be leaked to the public in the next week or so.   I’m always curious to see what they are, since they can secure or loose an Emmy for the show.

In anticipation, I thought we could throw around our thoughts on which 6 episodes 30 Rock should and will have picked.
I’ll leave my thoughts in the comments below.

It’s A New Record!!

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, 30 Rock has set a new record of nominations amongst a Comedy Series! 17 Nominations! The previous record was held by the Larry Sanders Show in 1997 with 16 nods. So let’s all celebrate for that alone!!

Now I have a list of what 30 Rock is nominated for. There is a lot of writing so I didn’t copy entire categories. If you would like to see entire categories, go here, scroll down and download a copy. Now If I find myself to be more awake in the coming hours, I will find a comprehensive list and put it up here. For now, this is what I can give you! (Pardon the font, this is a big copy-paste job)

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

I just want to start off saying I know that I SUCK for not updating. I promise on Thursday I will make it up to you with a very large Emmy Post. Pinky Swear!!

For now I have just a little article that has two Emmy “Experts” (I don’t know exactly what qualifies you to be an Emmy Expert, but that’s another story) predicting Comedy Top Five. And guess what! 30 Rock makes both of their lists. Check out the article here.

The official and final nominations come out SUPER early Thursday morning (the 17th), so I promise as soon and as early as I can get myself out of bed, you will have a fabulous Emmy Post hopefully booming with 30 Rock nods. Until then, may my apologizing for lack of updates be enough!

Comedy Actress Top Ten

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

Woo! Tina made it into the Emmy’s Top Ten Leading Female in a Comedy!
(As if we had any doubt in our minds…)

Also, something made me smile. The article really just names who is in the Top Ten. But at the end, they want all the ladies to follow in Tina’s shoes. So much so that they gave us a Sandwich Day clip! And this is coming from EW.com, and they can be fickle.

As soon as the other Top Tens come out, I’ll let you all know!

Secret Emmy Panel?

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Apparently, the LA Times has a couple of secret friends in on the Emmy Panel that are taking the Top Ten Comedies and Dramas down to the Top Five. There were 3 judges that gave their reports:

Judge 1
Judge 2
Judge 3

I’m surprised to see Family Guy there. But I do a little happy dance to see that Ugly Betty gets the axe right off the bat. Sorry Betty fans, but it’s on at the same time as Thursday Night Comedy Done Right and anything that takes away viewers from NBC just gets a slap on the wrist from yours truly.

Also, I’ve never seen Pushing Daisies. Is it really that much of a contender? I know a little bit of the premise, but it never seemed like something that would stand out. Fill me in!

Two Posts in Two Days?!

Friday, June 27th, 2008

That’s right! Aren’t you guys lucky!
(Yes, technically it’s been three days, but two posts in three days doesn’t sound as catchy…)

This is a small post with some big news. The Top 10 Comedies and Top 10 Dramas for Emmy Consideration were announced today and 30 Rock has made it! Here’s an article with the other nominees.

In my opinion, 30 Rock’s only competition is The Office. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE The Office, but after re-watching the seasons (which I have done) I would have to give it to 30 Rock. If they were going by post-strike episodes alone, 30 Rock would wipe the floor with them. But like I said, that’s just my opinion.

Emmy Submissions

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

To get me through this rough week of finals, I’ve constantly been checking to see if 30 Rock sent in any more Emmy submissions, and they didn’t disappoint! Some of these submissions still are undecided on which episode they’re submitting, so those will come in an update (hopefully).

Comedy Lead Actor

Alec Baldwin - “Rosemary’s Baby”

Comedy Lead Actress

Tina Fey - “210″

Comedy Supporting Actor

Scott Adsit - “Greenzo”
Judah Friedlander - “Cougars”
Jack McBrayer - “210″
Tracy Morgan - “Secrets and Lies”

Comedy Supporting Actress

Jane Krakowski - “The Collection”

Thats it for now, but hopefully some of those ?? will become episodes soon!

UPDATE: So not only are all the actors submissions in, but the episodes that the show has submitted for best comedy are Rosemary’s Baby or Greenzo. That means all Emmy information that you could possibly ever need is in this post! Enjoy!
