Two Posts in Two Days?!

Friday, June 27th, 2008

That’s right! Aren’t you guys lucky!
(Yes, technically it’s been three days, but two posts in three days doesn’t sound as catchy…)

This is a small post with some big news. The Top 10 Comedies and Top 10 Dramas for Emmy Consideration were announced today and 30 Rock has made it! Here’s an article with the other nominees.

In my opinion, 30 Rock’s only competition is The Office. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE The Office, but after re-watching the seasons (which I have done) I would have to give it to 30 Rock. If they were going by post-strike episodes alone, 30 Rock would wipe the floor with them. But like I said, that’s just my opinion.

Emmy Submissions

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

To get me through this rough week of finals, I’ve constantly been checking to see if 30 Rock sent in any more Emmy submissions, and they didn’t disappoint! Some of these submissions still are undecided on which episode they’re submitting, so those will come in an update (hopefully).

Comedy Lead Actor

Alec Baldwin – “Rosemary’s Baby”

Comedy Lead Actress

Tina Fey – “210″

Comedy Supporting Actor

Scott Adsit – “Greenzo”
Judah Friedlander – “Cougars”
Jack McBrayer – “210″
Tracy Morgan – “Secrets and Lies”

Comedy Supporting Actress

Jane Krakowski – “The Collection”

Thats it for now, but hopefully some of those ?? will become episodes soon!

UPDATE: So not only are all the actors submissions in, but the episodes that the show has submitted for best comedy are Rosemary’s Baby or Greenzo. That means all Emmy information that you could possibly ever need is in this post! Enjoy!

Emmy Campaign and Free Buttons!

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Emmy 08 ButtonNBC Universal has launched a For Your Consideration website for this years Emmy Campaign!  Right now it just has a list of who’s submitted for each category.  There’s nothing new except Tracy Morgan is submitting for Supporting Actor this year.  It’s no surprise since he’s been submitting in Supporting Actor all this year for Golden Globes and such.  It will give him a better chance at being noticed.  (I love you Tracy, but Alec would take you down.)  Hopefully there’s enough room for both Jack McBrayer and Tracy on the ballot!

Also, be sure to check out the free buttons NBC is giving away!

Definately ordering a couple!

Thanks to NBC for the tip.

Guest Star Emmy Submissions

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

The first bit of Emmy buzz has been released. The submission episodes for Guest Actor and Actress for 30 Rock have been released. (The Supporting and Lead Actor submissions should be released soon. So check back!)

These aren’t nominations, just the episodes and actors being submitted. Nominations come out July 17th. The episodes can change up till May 31st so there can be some mild changes but it’s pretty much set:

Guest Actor in a Comedy Series:

Fred Armisen – “Somebody to Love”
Will Arnett – “Jack Gets in the Game”
Matthew Broderick – “Cooter”
Steve Buscemi – “The Collection”
Tim Conway – “Subway Hero”
Buck Henry – “LudaChristmas”
Chris Parnell – “Jack Gets in the Game”
Andy Richter – “LudaChristmas”
Paul Scheer – “Rosemary’s Baby”
David Schwimmer – “Greenzo”
Jerry Seinfeld – “SeinfeldVision”
Rip Torn – “Jack Gets in the Game”
Dean Winters – “Subway Hero”

Guest Actress in a Comedy Series:

Edie Falco – “Episode 210″
Carrie Fisher – “Rosemary’s Baby”
Sherri Shepherd – “The Collection”
Elaine Stritch – “LudaChristmas”

So who do you think has a chance? Personally I like Will Arnett and either Edie Falco or Carrie Fisher to win it!
