EW Wish List

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

Entertainment Weekly just put out this nice article about their Emmy Wish List. I say nice because EW can sometimes be fickle. But they only have lovely things to say about Tina, Alec and Tracy, which makes me a very happy lady. Also, they take a jab at Ugly Betty and her “Day-Glo Ponchos”, so all in all the article is a win-win.

    Sunday, May 4th, 2008

  • Countdown Post - #3

    Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

Less than a week! You know what that means? We have to squeeze three more of our Countdown Posts into 7 days. Before we get to Number Three, we must put out a disclaimer. We know, they’re sort of lame but they’re almost over!

Apparently we here at PCB really suck at finding videos to go along with the description we would like to give ya. You all know we are just starting up as a site, and any help you can give us would make this the kind of site you will recommend to your 30 Rock friends. So if you have any secret 30 Rock Clip Vault you would like to share, we would really appreciate it. :)

Disclaimer Part Two: The clips we found for this particular Countdown Post are mostly Two-Minute Replays. (Which are almost always over 3 minutes long so why not name them the 3-Minute Replays NBC?…) You see why we need access to that secret vault?

    Countdown #3

Top Three Best Physical Comedians on 30 Rock

    3. – Jack McBrayer: I’m glad Tina found him! From his clogging to getting caught on a fence, Jack makes every scene a memorable one. He makes a singing show tunes while riding a bicycle more fun than it should be, and I crack up every time I watch him dancing to entrance Devon Banks!

    2. - Alec Baldwin: Fact: Alec Baldwin is a comedy genius. On his commentary he notes that he is considered one of the best actors in his generation at falling down, and I would have to agree. His heart attack, and any subsequent chest pains are nothing sort of perfect. As is his blooper real from Jack-tor. The clip we have is one of my favorites though. Buried away in that nasty two minute replay is the clip where after learning Tracy’s been targeted by the Black Crusaders, he sprints away.

    1. - Jane Krakowski: Whether she is roller dancing, trying on lingerie, or sliding on a large leather couch, Jane commits 100% to every physical task she gets. The Maxim photo shoot is really where we first really see the hilarity in her ability to fall. Sliding around in a barely-there wardrobe and proceeding to fall head over heels isn’t something most actresses would be ok with. But for Jane, it’s one of her best moments in the show’s history, matched only by the scene in the Lingerie Shop in Cleveland. Hopping around in stilettos and getting a thong caught on them in the process is comedic genius. Thanks for committing, Jane! Here’s hoping that you get to fall down a lot more! For example: Take her fabulous impromptu dancing in Black Tie

There you have it. If the Emmys appreciated physical comedy even slightly, all three of them would have their award by now!

    Happy Birthday, Alec!

    Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

First on an unrelated note: Tina needs your help! Go vote for her in the Celebrity March Madness!!

And Alec turns the big 5-0 today! So we’d like to wish him a happy birthday! (Just in case he’s ever googling himself and comes across this one day.) So Alec, we hope you have a great year, thanks for being so funny!

To celebrate/help us get through the next 7 days before 30 Rock, here’s a clip of Alec in quite possibly the best SNL sketch off all time!

    Sunday, February 17th, 2008

Here’s a round up of 30 Rock news to help pass the time waiting for April 10th. Does that countdown seem to be ticking horrifically slow to anyone else?

  • NAACP Image Award Presenter Tracy Morgan. Apparently there was an awkward moment (4th paragraph) when he was presenting. I don’t know I wasn’t watching… Tracy didn’t win, though he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor.
  • Collegehumor posted this video interview with Jack McBrayer.
  • Here’s some high Quality Scans of Tina and Alec in Gotham Magaizne. 1|2|3|4|5 Thanks to cresty_on_ry over at LJ for finding them!
  • Speaking of Gotham Magazine, here’s some pictures of Tina and Alec at the gala event. As well as their New Years resolutions for 2008.
  • Here’s yet some more pictures of from the gala.
  • And to beat this gala event horse, there’s even a video of Tina Fey being interviewed at the event.
  • Tina and Alec discuss Liz and Jacks’ views on this election. Alec Baldwin expresses his own view over at his blog.
  • Tina Fey and Jack McBrayer talk about their strike induced break.
  • I’d also like to take a second to thank you for your comments! They really keep us going!

    Page Desk #1

    Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Rather than making a whole bunch of small posts for separate articles and videos and interviews that may come up, we’ll decided it would be better have a weekly-ish “Page Desk” post to take care of all that. (Get it. Page Desk? NBC Page? Web Page? (Ahahaha…haha…?)) Ok, so it’s not the best name ever, but we’re sticking with it.

So without further delay. Here it is. Page Desk #1. As always, if you have anything you think we should include, let us know! Leave a comment or drop us an email.

First some videos from the SAG Awards:

Video - Tina Fey’s acceptance speech!!!
Video - Tina Fey at the SAG Awards Red Carpet Interview

    And some other stuff:

Tina and Alec win SAG Awards!

    Sunday, January 27th, 2008

Update: There’s more photos and a video of Tina after the break.

That’s right! Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Female and Male Actor in a Comedy Series!!! I’m so excited for them. It’s awesome that both these awards went to the same series. (I’ll check to see if that’s ever happened before.)

The Cast of 30 Rock didn’t take home the Best Ensemble Award which went to the Cast of The Office. (But I’m happy for The Office to. If anyone besides 30 Rock deserved it, it was those guys. So congrats to The Office cast!)

There’s some photos after the break.

    Alec or Jack? AOL Video

    Sunday, January 27th, 2008

At this point, I’m exited to see any Jack Donaghy that might appear.

Here’s Alec Baldwin channeling Jack for an AOL video.

We can put it on a bagel…

    Awards: DGAs and SAGs

    Friday, January 25th, 2008

This weekend, both the Directors Guild and Screen Actors Guild hand out their awards. Both Beth McCarthy and Michael Engler are nominated for DGAs this Saturday for their work on 30 Rock. They look like they have some tough competition from Pushing Daisies and Desperate Housewives.

Then, Sunday Night, it’s Alec and Tina’s turns to a shine, as they are both nominated for best performer in a Comedy Series. (Really the Therapy Session and “Help me Liz Lemon” scenes from Rosemary’s Baby should win it alone for both of them.) The entire cast is up for Best Ensemble in a Comedy series as well. Check out the other nominees here.

The SAG awards are happing according to plan, red carpet and everything since the WGA isn’t striking the awards. (Largly due to the SAG’s constant support of the WGA.) We’ll post red carpet pictures, and hopefeully the winners here as soon as they’re available.

    Good luck 30 Rock!
