Alec and John trash talk each others teams in this first spot for New Era.  According to their site, Tina Fey will also be part of this campaign which features stars on either side of great rivalries.  Check it out:

Update: Alec has taken to the internet to clear up his earlier statement:

“Gosh.

I want to take the opportunity to state that although my days on network TV may be numbered, I hope 30 Rock goes on forever. Or at least as long as everyone involved desires.

Next year hopefully won’t be the last. Kenneth can run the network. Jenna will get her own talk show. Tracy will become Mayor of New York. Then resign to go raise exotic reptiles. And Lemon will go do … just about anything she sets her mind to.

Here’s to five more seasons.”

Vulture is reporting that Baldwin made a bold statement during a gala benefit last night:

“I will tell you one thing,” he said. “And that is our show next year is our last year of the show.” Though Baldwin has made no secret of the fact that he plans to leave 30 Rock in 2012, this was the first time we’ve heard that the show itself would close up shop, too. But Baldwin says it’s a done deal that Fey will be leaving. “Our contracts are expired [in 2012], and Tina is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She’s going to be the next Elaine May. She’ll be great.” Reps for Fey and the show declined to comment.

This may be the first public announcement, but we fans have seen it coming for quite awhile.  Tina’s always said she wants to leave on top.  Alec as certainly never hidden the fact he wants to persue other interests.  When 30 Rock got picked up so early for a season 6 it just about confirmed it for me.  A final season deal must have been made.

Sure it’s sad but a show ending on its creator and stars terms rather than the networks is truly a rare gift these days.  It shows the respect Tina has in the industry.  Personally I think the writers and Tina have a lot more show in them, but if they feel one more season is best then they know better than I.  I’ll miss having this show every week, but they had a great run to revisit time and time again.  Here’s to a phenomenal remaining 26 episodes!  How do you guys feel?

Of course none of this is official.  An NBC insider insists no talks to end the show are taking place.

First Tina Fey played Tinkerbell in Annie Leibovitz in her photographs of Disney characters.  Now another 30 Rock star has joined the A-list celebrities from Beyonce, to Whoopi Goldberg, Julianne Moore to Scarlet Johanssen.

Alec Baldwin appears as the Magic Mirror from Snow White in the latest round of photographs. (Olivia Wilde plays the Evil Queen and Queen Latifah became Ursula.)  These photos are part of Disney’s ad campaign.

I think this Mirror would say Tina Fey is the fairest of them all.

Yesterday Alec received his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!  Perhaps way over due but better late than never.

Alec Won!

Alec Baldwin won his 5th consecutive SAG Award for playing Jack Donaghy! (Pictures from a previous win.)  Tina lost out to Betty White in her category and the cast lost to Modern Family in the Ensemble category.  The cast looked great on the red carpet, we’ll have photos and videos up later.

The 2011 Golden Globes have come and gone.  I don’t have much to say about them that’s polite so I’ll save my ranting and raving for the comments.
