Jack and Jane on SNL…sort of

Jack McBrayer and Jane Krakowski had a cameo last night in the Digital Short on SNL!  Hilarious:

Creative Arts Emmys 2009!

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

30 Rock got some gold tonight at the Creative Arts Emmys!  The show won for both outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Comedy Series.  Congrats to the show and everyone involved!

Here’s a list of all the winners.

Also Tina Fey won an Emmy in the Guest Actress category for her portrayal of Sarah Palin on SNL.  She beat out Jennifer Aniston and Elaine Stritch from her own show, but I don’t think anyone could argue she didn’t deserve it.

Video:

The BBC has part of Tina’s Acceptance speech here.

Quotes:

We don’t have the full speech (and we probably won’t until it airs on E!) but here’s some snippets:

“Mrs Palin is an inspiration to working mothers everywhere because she bailed on her job right before Fourth of July weekend. You are living my dream. Thank you, Mrs Palin.”

From Huffington Post:

Accepting her trophy for best guest actress in a comedy, Fey thanked “SNL” producer Lorne Michaels and her parents, “who are lifelong Republicans, for their patience.”

Watch the Palin Spoofs again!  (If you dare relive that election.)

TwitterPic of Tina with her award.  We’ll have more details and pics up later.

The Creative Arts Emmys will air on E! Network on Friday Sep 18th at 1:00 PM.
The Prime Time Emmys are coming next Sunday!

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

Alec Baldwin will host Saturday Night Live for the 14th time on February 14th.  Musical guest that night will be the Jonas Brothers.  It’s pretty awesome for Alec as he’ll remain just one short of Steve Martin’s 15 times hosting!

Tina Fey as Palin… Take 6!

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

If she doesn’t show up on SNL’s Presidential Bash Monday night, this could very well be the last of Tina Feylin.  (You know how much she loves that name :P.)

And if for some reason you’re not sick of the election stuff yet and you need to watch all the sketches again, here’s a quick run down:

Palin and Hillary Clinton
Palin and the Katie Couric Interview
Palin and the VP Debate
Palin and the real Sarah Palin
Palin and George Bush

And just for the heck of it, which one was your favorite?

Tina Fey as Palin… Take 5!

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Tina returned to her time slot this Thursday to appear on that last of the Weekend Update specials.  She played Sarah Palin of course, and naturally rocked it.

The best part was at the end credits where Tina begged with the audience and the camera for everyone to tune in next week to watch 30 Rock.  (Though the sound was cut out you could get the message.)  It was also cool to see Will Ferrell back playing Bush!

Tina Fey as Palin… Take 4! (And Alec too!)

Sunday, October 19th, 2008

Um…Yes.  This will do.  I was fearing so much, but this turned out pretty well.

And for the record Tina is way hotter in person (no offense Sarah.) (I’m assuming, I’ve actually seen neither in person.)

And really this has nothing to do with 30 Rock.  But I think everyone should watch a very pregnant, very awesome Amy Poehler rap with Eskimo back ups at least 4 or 5 times.  Oh wait she’s pregnant, that’s like Pregnant Cornbread.  Score!  This totally relates to this site.

Tina Fey as Palin… Take 3!

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Another Saturday night, another amazing performance from Tina Fey playing Sarah Palin.

We’ve seen her with Hillary and Katie Couric.  Now Liz takes on Floyd in the VP debate.  I mean Tina Fey takes on Jason Sudeikis.  I mean Sarah Palin takes on Joe Biden.

I hope Tina will be able to stop by in one of these Thursday Night Live specials coming up.  Then she’d be in her regular time slot and everything!

Tina Fey as Palin… Take 2!

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunited once again to make some magic on SNL last night.  And once again, they were hilarious!

Dr. Spaceman, I mean Chris Parnell, also appeared on the show as the presidential debate moderator.  Hopefully Tina can get him to come back as the leading meth addiction specialist (and a pretty good dentist) this season!  (I put that video under the break in case you want to check it out.)
