Tina Returns With A Vengeance!

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Did any of you out there tune into see the return of Tina on SNL? Well if you didn’t, you sure missed out because it was incredible!

The Highlights (In case you missed it)

Her monologue was marvelous! Steve Martin showed up and had her speak in a little mouse voice. She got hit in the head with a boom mic and she was overall super classy, as always.

The monologue lead into a sketch of Rock of Love II, which is by far one of my favorite guilty pleasures. She did a dead-on Daisy impression and there was a little “Liz/Floyd” reconnection, as Moonvest pointed out to me! Loved it.

And the moment we were all waiting for, her return to Weekend Update. Oh it was so glorious! I won’t spill too many details, mostly because I can’t do it justice. But Matt was thrilled that she threw in “Goodnight and have a pleasant tomorrow” even though the sound cut out. Who cares, really? She was amazing!

Let us know what you thought! The three of us can’t be the only giddy 30 Rock fans out there right now! Hopefully we can find you some clips and pictures from the night very soon. So keep your eyes peeled for those.

Some Videos are up:

Here’s the first one of her monologue!

And here’s a link to the Annuale commercial.

Get excited! The link for Weekend Update is here!

Here’s a sketch called Milkshakes spoofing the Oscar nominees. Tina does an amazing Juno impression towards the end.

She was in a sketched called Lady Business making fun of Sex and the City/Chashire Mafia/Lipstick Jungle.

NBC has more sketches from last night that don’t feature Tina, so head over there to check them out.

We’ll be sure to keep this page updated constantly as NBC removes youtube videos :P .Let us know what you thought of the show!

Tina Fey Hosting SNL!

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

Ok, so as if the writer’s strike ending wasn’t enough reason to be excited, Tina Fey is going back to host SNL! On Febuary 23rd, SNL returns and according to the New York Times, Tina Fey will be the host!

It’ll be great to see her in sketches since most of her SNL career was writing. I guess the big question is, will she get behind that desk?!

I can’t wait. I won’t even do anything that Saturday. I’ll be sitting in front of my TV waiting for SNL. Everyone will be like “Matt, you’re a loser, nobody has watched SNL since the 90′s”. But I won’t care.

(And Ellen Page on March 1st! How awesome is this?)
