Plot Twists and Webisodes

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

UPDATE:  Heads up this article was probably fake news.

Considering:

A) No other credible news scource picked up on it.
B) It sites Molly Shannon as appearing as an Ad-Exec when we all know she’s Jack’s sister.
C) It makes no sense.
and D) Since I posted it this morning, the article tripled in size adding more and more outrageous details.

Anyways the old post is still now under the break and if anything else arises we’ll keep you informed.

Possible Live Episode

Monday, August 4th, 2008

According to EW there’s a rumor going around that 30 Rock is bidding to air a live episode after the Super Bowl:

Now that the much-anticipated Office spin-off is on the back burner while writer Greg Daniels develops a comedy for Amy Poehler, NBC has to find a show to follow the Super Bowl on Feb. 1. A new episode of The Office seems like the most obvious choice, though far more enlightening alternatives may exist elsewhere on the schedule. To wit: The cast of 30 Rock had previously considered whether to pitch a live telecast after it successfully performed an episode at New York’s Upright Citizens Brigade Theater last winter. Says a network insider: ”It’s still unclear at this point, but we’re gonna put the best asset we can in that slot.” So don’t hold your breath, Lipstick Jungle fans. — Lynette Rice” -Ew

Now I understand that this is both a ways off and a lot of wishful thinking, but the very idea is pretty exciting.  I mean how awesome would this be?!  The cast would be great doing a live show considering Tina, Jack, Tracy, Jane, Scott, and even Alec have a lot of experience with live performance.

At this point I’d put money on NBC airing an hour Office Special, but I think it would be cool if they considered one live episode of 30 Rock followed by an episode of the Office.  That would help give our show the audience and awareness it deserves.

Moonvest and the Mattster Return

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

Alright, so just as a precursor, no one actually calls him the Mattster, although I might start. But the title is only the truth other than that! We’re back! Hope everyone had a fantastic most of the summer because I know both Matt and I certainly did. Big props to Shark Eyes keeping us going over these two months, trust me, we both owe her big time and she will collect. Hopefully we get some 30 Rock/Emmy buzz soon! It’s good to be back!

Possible Oscar Buzz

Friday, August 1st, 2008

Hey kids. It’s been too long. Trust me, I’m looking for stuff to give you, but I have come up super empty-handed. Until now, where I show up only kind of empty-handed.

So the word on the street is that Justin Timberlake will host the next Oscars. Well, here’s hoping he gets the flu or something because our Tina Fey is his understudy. Personally I’d much rather have Tina host, but that’s mainly because I was a Backstreet Boys fan!

Here’s the tiny article. The boys come back this Sunday and I promise they’ll fish up some good stuff for you guys! Thanks for being so patient with me this Summer. I had fun running the site myself!

For now I have just a little article that has two Emmy “Experts” (I don’t know exactly what qualifies you to be an Emmy Expert, but that’s another story) predicting Comedy Top Five. And guess what! 30 Rock makes both of their lists. Check out the article here.

The official and final nominations come out SUPER early Thursday morning (the 17th), so I promise as soon and as early as I can get myself out of bed, you will have a fabulous Emmy Post hopefully booming with 30 Rock nods. Until then, may my apologizing for lack of updates be enough!

We’ve Gotta Give You Something…

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

Hey Gang. Sorry, sorry, sorry for the lack of updates! The boys have left me in charge for the summer, but failed to give me any insight on where they picked up their scoops. Usually they check in Thursdays, so you loyal few who are still coming for news, I would say Thursdays are your best bet.

Anyway, I was wasting time on Hulu and I stumbled across two clips I hadn’t seen before. So I figured I would share.
PS: You think the two would have taught me how to embed these things…

The first is a short interview on how Tracy and Tina got Alec to join the show. It says “p1″ in the link, so maybe there is another part floating around out there. If you guys find it, lemme know and I’ll link it!

The other is a clip of Judah at the TV Land Awards. Incidentally, he ends up talking to Ed Helms who happens to be one of my Office Crushes, so it’s a bonus! (For me at least)

I also found this article. If you guys haven’t watched Livin’ Neath The Law with Jack McBrayer, you probably should. Because they are absolutely hilarious in the exact opposite of everything that is Kenneth. This one is called “Cancer Isn’t Cool”. I won’t spoil it, you just need to watch.

That’s all for now. If you guys have any links or tips or anything, shoot us an email. We’d be happy to post anything, and I mean anything, that is even remotely related to 30 Rock and its cast!

Season 2 DVD Release Date

Here’s hoping for more bonus features and better commentaries :P!  (Though, even if there weren’t bonus features this DVD would be worth it!)
