Countdown Post – #10
March 11, 2008
We all know there’s still a month before new 30 Rock episodes. And quite blatantly; that sucks. So we here at PCB were brainstorming ways to make this time seem shorter. We toyed with the idea of flying to NY and storming the studio, but we figured we better just let them work. Instead, we came up with making a series of Countdown Posts to pass the time. It may not be the best idea ever, but then again we aren’t exactally the most brilliant people ever. Anyways, over the next month we’ll spread out 10 Countdown posts to hopefully provide you with some sort of diversion. We’ll obviously have our regularly scheduled 30 Rock news mixed in as well. So without further ado: 10 Jokes you Might Have Missed the First Time You Saw Them. #10 - In the opening of “Somebody to Love” Pete is watching CC’s Lifetime movie. Of course it isn’t until later in the episode that you even know who CC is. “A dog will change your life!” #9 - In Jack the Writer Jack quips that he “was at Luncheon for Ann Coulters 60th birthday.” Which is funny considering Ann Coulter is only 47. (That joke will be funny for the next 13 years!) #8 - Also in “Somebody to Love” Tracy is talking to Jack about forbidden love and being on the opposite sides of a feud. Tracy says “I get it. Romeo and Juliet. Capulets and Romulans. Mmm I’ve been there.” Romulans are a race of aliens from Star Trek. Pages: 1 2 Posted in Countdown |
(But now you think they’re really really funny.)

Other names on the alcohol monitoring screen include: M. Lohan, D. Lohan (Lindsay’s parents?) and M. Rodrigues who appears to be in Hawaii. Bwah!
Love the site.

One of the ones I caught was when Raheem was listing off the places he visited for his Amazing Race video, he slips “The Cleve” in there. I like how they call that stuff back.

When Jack sees CC on MSNBC for the first time, the news stories at the bottom read:
“Mysterious visitor from the future wins lottery again”
“Anne Heche leaves husband for pony”
“Wolf Blitzer injured in wolf blitz”
“News crawl affected by writers strike”
“Using repeat text from previous season”

I’m being a total PCB junkie right now, but I noticed another:
At the end of Ludachristmas, Tracy’s Christmas song, previously mentioned in ‘The Head and the Hair ‘ plays over the credits (“Imagine Christmas wishes shooting out of your eyes!”).

I second the notion that this blog is getting very addictive.
To Midnight Train:
My favourite part of “The Cleve” is that when Raheem mentions it after all the big cities, his friend looked extremely confused. His expression always cracks me up.

Moon Vest ALSO makes a brief appearance in the pilot! Liz hands him a hot dog and he throws it! Even moon vest doesn’t want her random free wiener!
