First Thursday without 30 Rock… Yet Alec Baldwin is on NBC.

January 17, 2008

As you all know, this is the first Thursday since the last pre-strike episode of 30 Rock aired. I don’t think I need to comment on how depressing of an occasion this is. You already know how it feels. If you hear whimpering around 8:30Eastern/7:30Central, that’s probably me.

But wait! What’s Alec Baldwin doing on NBC tonight?!
Alec Baldwin, often called ‘the greatest actor in the world… from the Baldwin family’, is making a guest appearance on Celebrity Apprentice. That’s right folks. Celebrity Apprentice. It’s unknown whether this is to support his brother Stephen, who is a contestant on the show, or if it NBC has him in some sort of contract, but I could be surprised either way.

More info here.

Considering I have a better chance of getting run over by wildebeests Mufasa-style, than tuning into Celebrity Apprentice, I probably won’t be watching. Let us know how his guest stint goes in the comment section if you catch it.

I’m sorry Alec, no matter how much I admire you, you can’t get me to watch Trump and a bunch of B-/C+ list celebrities fighting it out. It’s just too painful right now.
