Personally I want Jane to win more than anything. But I just don’t know if she’s gonna make it. She has a lot of tough competition from hilarious and deserving ladies. Amy, Kristen, Kristin, and Elizabeth are all great, but I hope Jane prevails!
Tracy and Jack probably won’t win. It’s Niel Patrick Harris’s year, Rainn Wilson’s in second. (Tracy third.)
Writing will either go to Matthew Hubbard or Robert Carlock.
Directing will probably go to The Office with a possible upset by Todd Holland.
Alec is a strong front runner, but I could see Carrell or Parsons taking it. Carrell has been nominated 4 times so they might give it to him since he’s over due. Parsons is new, fresh and hip so they might go that route. I’d be offended if anyone else beat Alec.
Tina. She seems like a lock. But there’s always Collette and Applegate right behind her. Collette gave a great performance, but she wasn’t funny at all.
30 Rock’s gonna win for best series. Only a crazy upset by The Office or Family Guy stand out as possibilities.

Now’s as good a time as any to say how awesome it is to be a 30 Rock fan. I feel so bad for the Weeds superfans. Pretending their show can win Best Comedy. Having said that, here’s what I think:
Comedy Series is a lock. Duh duh duh. It was a lock last year with 17 nods, so you better believe it’s a lock this year with 22.
Tina’s STILL the flavor of the month for a lot of people. I hear a lot of people saying that she’s only famous because of Sarah Palin, and that may well be true, but the Emmys were in love with her LONG before the Palin tom foolery. So she wins, even though Collette kind of sort of deserves it in my book. [It kills me to type that, I assure you.]
I can’t believe people are doubting Alec Baldwin. First of all, he’s amazing. Second of all, his episode choice was inspired. Third of all, JIM PARSONS?! [Okay, sorry, I know people love him. But come on, better than Alec?]
I honestly think Jane has this in the bag. Kristen and Kristin pose the biggest threat at this point. Pushing Daises [may it rest in peace] got a LOT of sympathy at the creative arts Emmys, which could carry over to here, the only major Emmy they’re up for. And after the election, Kristen single-handedly carried SNL. But I think she’ll cancel out with Amy, And Perkins and Vanessa might as well not show up.
Jack and Tracy, congrats on the nods. Neil, congrats on the Emmy. [Sorry kids.]
In a perfect world, Reunion would win writing and directing. But I have a horrible feeling The Office will take directing, which would be an AWFUL shame. 30 Rock has never won a directing Emmy.
And off-topic: PLEASE LET BREAKING BAD WIN BEST DRAMA, BEST ACTOR, AND BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR!!!
Alright, I’m done. See you kids tomorrow night!
