NBC 2010 Schedule – New Time
May 16, 2010
NBC Announced their Fall 2010 schedule today. When 30 Rock returns for it’s 5th season, it will have a new time slot. 30 Rock will air at 8:30 Eastern next season. NBC’s Thursday Line up will now look like this: Presumably, the renewed Parks and Rec will be saved for midseason. You can see NBC’s full schedule here. What do you think of 30 Rock’s new time? Posted in Season 5 |
8:00 – Community
8:30 – 30 Rock
9:00 – The Office
9:30 – Outsourced (New Show)
10:00 – Love Bites (New Show)

Well Obviously Community won’t help 30 Rock’s ratings as much as The Office has. But even The Office has dropped off this year so i guess it’s time 30 Rock stopped mooching. I think 30 Rock and Tina have enough respect at NBC (Tina and Alec will be at NBC’s upfronts tomorrow) that even with worse ratings 30 Rock should be fine.
It’s not a great time slot, but paired with Community that’s a great hour of comedy.
Parks and Rec held till mid season (or Til Love Bites fails) = grrrr.

Didn’t they try 30 Rock in an earlier slot before and had to move it back to 9:30 when MILF Island was mentioned?

Hey, it’ll be just like when I watch it on central time.

I’m actually pretty happy with this timeslot switch, just so long as it does not effect the adult humor aspect of the show. I don’t want the show watered down, humor-wise, due to being on at 8:30. I should be able to watch it when it airs now (instead of DVRing it), because it had been conflicting with FRINGE, the other show I watch in the 9-10:00 timeslot.

Agree with Maddie. They got away with some stuff that only the 9:30 slot could be the excuse.
Truth be told, Community and 30 Rock are my fave Thursday night comedies so the combination of the two are perfect IMO.
