30 Rock definitely has competition, but I hope they win! and Michael Sheen totally should have been nominated.

No love for Dealbreakers?

Two seconds of Jon Hamm and one good Devon line (“You don’t tell me what kind of pizza to like!”) over James Franco and Michael Sheen?

OMG I totally forgot about Michael Sheen!! How upsetting! But 30 Rock got a good haul this year. I wrote all of my reactions on my blog, and I’m too lazy to re-write them hear, lol

Yay for Jane sticking it out another year! I was worried when I saw that neither Tracy nor Jack made it [shameful emmys!].
Good choices for writing! 30 Rock still dominates the writing, even with these new show coming in.
WTF nomination: Jon Hamm over Michael Sheen. Was Jon Hamm even in it that much? Unless I’m forgetting A LOT?
Side notes: Yay for Matthew Fox and Elizabeth Mitchell finally getting nominated for Lost. Yay for Modern Family dominating in the supporting categories [blasphemy, i know]. Yay for Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Okay, I’m done.

Aww, man, will Tracy ever make progress on his EGOT?
I love Jon Hamm and Will Arnett, but I’m stumped by their nominations. Also, why bother nominating anyone other than Betty White in the Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category? I’m not a Glee fan, but this is clearly their year, but maybe Alec can pull out another one.

My biggest shocker was Michael Sheen. You all know that I am NOT a Jon Hamm fan, so I’m a little salty with that. And seriously, like Dan and Noah said, where was he? His Jamaican accent was good enough for an Emmy nom? I think not.
I also don’t know why Tracy and Jack don’t get nominated. It makes me super sad. Is there anyone more worthy of an Emmy than Kenneth the Page?
Side Note #1: YAY for Amy Poehler!! Yay, yay, yay, yay, yay!!
Side Note #2: I am also not excited about any of Glee’s nominations (exception- Jane Lynch). After their hiatus, their episodes lacked cohesion, they repeated story lines, and it was more after-school special than musical. And that is coming from someone who is a big fan of the show.
Side Note #3: Lost should win everything it got nominated for. Just sayin ; )

FOR REAL ABOUT LOST. I’m not even a huge losthead, but my god that finale. One of the better episodes of television ever broadcast. And I love how they nominated Elizabeth Mitchell in the guest actress category kind of saying ‘SORRY FOR IGNORING YOUR AMAZING WORK FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS.’
And Glee is the new Desperate Housewives or Ugly Betty. Dominated in the nominations for the first year, won a couple big awards but NOT comedy series, and wasn’t invited back to the party after that.
For that reason, I predict Modern Family will win Comedy Series. I’m sorry, I know it makes me a terrible person, but I really think they deserve it. Don’t kill me.

Congrats to 30 Rock! I hate that Michael Sheen didn’t get nominated for guest actor but 15 is still a great number.
I am predicting Modern Family too just because of the buzz. It would be deserving for the first half of the season; it really ran out of steam in the second half and the treatment of the gay characters was just poor towards the end. Sad that Parks couldn’t get a nomination, their second season really deserved one.

I agree with muic. Modern Family had an impressive first half season. I expect all their tapes to be from those episodes. Then they had a rather lame 2nd half. Still second most worthy comedy after 30 Rock imo. I wont be upset if it wins. Those supporting noms are well deserved. (Rooting for Jane K though!)
If 30 Rock loses to Glee…. Ill break down. TV over.
Yay for Amy! Community was robbed all over the place.

The only show that will not cause me to throw something at my TV if it wins over 30 Rock is Modern Family. If Glee wins? Ugh. That would be so bad.
Betty White has the guest category in the bag, I’m assuming.
Hopefully Alec can pull off another win, and I would love to see Tina win, but I’m preparing myself for another Toni win for some reason. Jane Lynch will probably win Supporting Actress, which is okay, I guess. But it would be so great to see Krakowski take it!
(Holding out hope for a win for the genius that is Michael Emerson!)

What about the writing for Into The Crevasse!?
Hahahahah John Hamm for the “pirate hook hands” line!
I am upset that Wesley didn’t get nominated, because he was BRILLIANT!
And Tracy deserves a nom too!
