Michael Ausiello at EW.com is reporting that two more guest stars have signed up for appearances on 30 Rock. These could be a bit spoilerish so head over to the report or check under the break for more details.
Related to all this stunt casting, EW.com also has this piece about all these guest stars. It worries that all these guest stars are getting in the way of the show. To be fair not all the big names have had dominating, screen stealing parts. Gladys Knight, Al Gore, Meredeth Vierra ect. What do you think? Does 30 Rock need to cut back on all these big names?
9/4 There’s another round of pictures and videos from filming another scene. They are very spoilerish, so if you don’t want anything ruined, just know it looks awesome! TV Guide has some details on her character.
9/2 (Post #2) OK So Aniston Watch is exploding with news!! First Korbi TV has the scoop on the role Jennifer will be playing. And TMZ has a video from the filming. (It corresponds with the pictures we posted earlier.) What do you think of her role? It seems to be a heavy one!
Feel free to post reactions in the comment section, just be aware there could be spoilers there too.
In an effort to spark a little internet buzz, NBC has decided to air the season premiers of some of its shows on Hulu.com a week before they air on TV. This means the Season 3 premier of 30 Rock will be available online October 23rd! This is pretty exciting news; cutting a week of the time we have to wait for new episodes! I mean, how awesome is that?!
Here’s the story. And here’s the Hulu page with it’s Fall Premiere dates.
No word yet on whether episodes will continue airing a week early after the premier. (I’ll probably be a good 30 Rock fan and end up watching it both online 2 or 3 times, and then on TV when it airs :P).
So as if we needed more of a reason to be excited for October 30th… spoiler from EW on a guest star for the premier. Oh yeah and there’s some info under there about another rumored guest star for later in the season.
Update: You can find some more pictures from filming here and here. They’re less spoilerish and Tina and Alec look amazing.
Original Post: USA Today posted a pair of photos of 30 Rock filming at Rockefeller Center. They feature a certain actor who make these pictures spoiler-ish, so they’re hidden after the break.
Also, thanks to Sophie for sending in this article about another one of Tina’s projects.
I’ve thought a bit and I have no real clever way to introduce this, so I’m just gonna get down to it:
Sesame Street spoofed 30 Rock.
That’s right. I’m not kidding. As bizarre and weird as it may seem for a kids TV show to spoof a low rated, critically acclaimed comedy, Sesame Street is airing it’s spoof “30 Rocks” starting Liz Lemon (an actual lemon) and Jack the Boss. It even has the 30 Rock theme song and, god knows, educational value.
But wait there’s more Will Arnett is appearing in an episode of Sesame Street this season as well. And wait for it Arrested Development fans, he’s playing a magician. While he may be doing math instead of illusions, I bet he does a fantastic job.
Here’s the 30 Rock Emmy brag fest promo that has been airing during the Olympics on NBC.
Once again it doesn’t have any new clips yet. But if you think about it 38 million people watched Phelps swim his 8th gold. And only 6 million at most watch 30 Rock. So that means to over 30 million people, this was new footage. I’m ok with NBC reaching out to the masses, just so long as they eventually hook us fans up with something soon!
