Satellite Awards 2008

Nominees for the Satellite Award were released this afternoon. (They were formerly known as the “Golden Satellite Award.” I really don’t know why they changed the name…) Anyways 30 Rock was nominated for 3 awards: Television Series, Comedy or Musical: “30 Rock” Check out the full list of Nominations here. While the Satellite isn’t really a huge deal, it does kick off Awards season. (Golden Globes, WGAs, SAGs, ect are coming up soon.) 30 Rock will probably be up for a bunch of these so we’ll try to keep you updated. I added a new archive category for Awards. My only wish this year is that one of the supporting players is nominated for something. And that 30 Rock wins the ensemble SAG award.

I’m with you Noah. I hope someday Jane or Jack or Tracy will get nominated (or even take something home.)
They definately deserve that SAG ensemble award, but they’re gonna have tough competition with The Office, Ugly Betty, even Pushing Daisies or Desperate Housewives.

Actually 4 awards - Season 2 was nominated for Best DVD Release of a TV show. How they judge stuff like that is beyond me, lol.

Jane, Jack, and Tracy were all on the top 10 shortlists in their Emmy categories this year. So there’s a glimmer of hope for the future.
