Secret Emmy Panel?

Apparently, the LA Times has a couple of secret friends in on the Emmy Panel that are taking the Top Ten Comedies and Dramas down to the Top Five. There were 3 judges that gave their reports: I’m surprised to see Family Guy there. But I do a little happy dance to see that Ugly Betty gets the axe right off the bat. Sorry Betty fans, but it’s on at the same time as Thursday Night Comedy Done Right and anything that takes away viewers from NBC just gets a slap on the wrist from yours truly. Also, I’ve never seen Pushing Daisies. Is it really that much of a contender? I know a little bit of the premise, but it never seemed like something that would stand out. Fill me in! Pushing Daisies stands out so much because theres nothing like it out there; its quirky and original with a fantastic cast of characters. I think Judge One describes it the best and if definitely deserves a nomination. If 30 Rock ends up having to go against Pushing Daisies itll be tough only cuz theyre completely different. But I’m OBSESSED with 30 Rock soo of course they should take it.

I actually think 30 Rock could take it. I love The Office and Weeds, but neither were anywhere as good as 30 Rock this season. I think Pushing Daisies and possibly Curb Your Enthusiasm are really the only competition.
