Ausiello: “We’re ending the season with some big family revelations about Jack,” reveals exec producer Robert Carlock, “that will allow him to ask questions about himself and where he comes from.” I’m guessing Jack’s mom will be dropping at least one of the bombshells since Elaine Stritch is slated to return in this season’s homestretch.

Ausiello: If you promise never to lock eyes with me again, sure. Jack and Tracy are both about to get new relatives. For Jack, the fresh blood is Milton, a scholarly octogenarian who offers parental guidance (hey, it’s never too late). For Tracy, the insta-kin is a 40 year old who, by dressing like he’s half that age, thinks he can pass himself off as the funnyman’s son — at least long enough to collect enough back allowance to open his own dojo.

Ausiello: Something tells me Tina Fey just saw Benjamin Button: She’s currently on the lookout for an actor to play a TGS announcer who’s been struck by lightning a few times. The comedy’s also hiring a bunch of actors to play GE staffers that Jack has to fire.

When Jack hits Liz’s reunion, he’ll act like one of the gang, attempting to bridge the gap between Liz and her former classmates. Her reunion turns out to be like those kids at the prom in Carrie, and Jack kinda sorta accidentally becomes a father. Whooops! In other news, Larry King has confirmed that some guy named Larry King will be guesting on 30 Rock as…himself. He’ll be in one scene opposite Tracy Jordan. The guest stars just keep coming!

By the way, Blake Lively’s older sister, Robyn (who you might remember from Teen Witch and The Karate Kid III), guests as one of Liz’s classmates, though she’s almost unrecognizable in an awful, blonde midwesterny mom wig (no disrespect to the midwest, I’m one of you)…

Don Geiss will wake from his coma on December 4th and the first person he calls — after his French Canadian mistress, of course — is Jacky boy. Unfortunately, Geiss’ news re: naming a successor is less than desirable for the Donaghy camp… And Jack won’t be the only 30 Rock V.I.P. in a bad place next week. Tracy and Jenna have a new arch enemy at work and you won’t believe who. That’s right, sweet NBC Page Mr. Kenneth Parcell!

Female; 70s; Latina; beloved grandmother of ELISA (Salma Hayek) a Puerto Rican nurse and JACK (Alec Baldwin’s) girlfriend. CONCEPCION is the matriarch of a large Latino family; a warm and loving presence for everyone except JACK whom she inexplicably detests.

Ausiello: Not so hot. But Judah Friedlander’s Frank may soon be getting some: The show is casting him an old (and older) flame, a Polish 30 Rock cleaning lady who can’t help but give dirty looks to any other woman who crosses his path.

NBC has stayed mum on Steve Martin’s storyline, but a well-informed mole now tells me the actor-comedian will play Liz Lemon’s next love interest.

His character, an eccentric billionaire, hasn’t left his huge Connecticut compound in three years, apparently due to a bad case of agoraphobia and an aversion to germs. But Liz will somehow score an invitation to dinner at his house and sparks will fly.  Not surprisingly, there’s a strange twist — which I won’t spoil — in store, but hilarity will no doubt ensue… as will a cameo by tennis great John McEnroe, who’ll drop by 30 Rock for the second time (remember, he appeared on the show as the irate host of “Gold Case” last year).

Anything to share on 30 Rock, the Emmy-certified funniest show on TV?
Liz and Jack are going on a date! Sorta. When Liz (Tina Fey) goes to Pennsylvania for her high school reunion, Jack (Alec Baldwin) comes along for the ride. We learn that Liz always thought she was a big nerd, but as it turns out, she was really just a mean girl in geek’s garb. Lemon becomes something of a pariah, while Jack is mistaken for a much-beloved classmate and instantly becomes the most popular guy at the reunion. Of course.

Kyle in Denver: Where’s the 30 Rock scoop!? The premiere is in less than three weeks!
The premiere is Oct. 30 on NBC at 9:30 p.m., and you must watch or I’m sending Tracy’s lizard after you! So much has changed since we last saw the writers’ room at TTJS. Jack (Emmy-winner Alec Baldwin) is working in the mailroom, and Devon (Will Arnett) is trying to shut down GE. (Oh, and by the way, in the spirit of the current economic meltdown, GE is now just “G.” Devin sold the E to Samsung, which henceforth shall be known as Semsung.) Oh, and Tracy Jordan is a white woman—seriously. The premiere centers around Liz’s (superhero Tina Fey) interview with an adoption agent played by Megan Mullally, and—shocker—it does not go well.

NBC has just sent out some 30 Rock news. Namely, look for Megan Mullally on the season opener Oct. 30  at 9:30 p.m. And also this season, look for Salma Hayek to play Elisa, a recurring love interest for Alec Baldwin’s Jack Donaghy.

Debra in Mountain View, Calif.: Anything new on 30 Rock, my favoritest comedy ever?
Did you see the N.Y. Post’s report that Salma Hayek might be appearing in two episodes? The studio has not confirmed the appearance, but my Spidey-sense tells me it’s likely to happen. In other news, Jack returns from his government job armed with the knowledge that Dick Cheney is mostly made of metal, and we learn of yet another embarrassing gig in Jenna’s past: She did a commercial for a Japanese soft drink called—wait for it—Whizz.

Any advanced information on 30 Rock for me? We’ve still got a month before it premieres. -Pat
Jack Donaghy has gotten out of his government job and returns to GE in the season opener, but Devon Banks (Will Arnett) and Don Geiss’ mute daughter are still running the place. No matter, Donaghy is willing to do anything to work there again, including a stint in the mail room and maybe even banging the mute.

Mark in Los Angeles: So many guest stars this year on 30 Rock! Are we going to get a little Kenneth/Devon love?
At the HBO Luxury Emmy Suite, Jack McBrayer, aka Kenneth, told me, “Will Arnett is just as crazy and maniacal as ever.” He dished that they were definitely going to “bump into” each other several times when Will stops by this season. Also, if you’re looking for some resolution to Kenneth being held at gunpoint in Beijing, he spilled that they seemed to have forgotten all about it. By the way, I ran into Judah Friedlander outside of the Four Seasons (where the suite was held and where he happened to be staying), and he told me Jennifer Aniston won’t just be flirting with Jack Donaghy—she’ll be chatting Frank up as well, but only to try and sell him a hat.

Ellen in Indianapolis: You said Oprah has something to do with a feud between Tracy and Jenna on 30 Rock? What’s up with that? The reason Tracy and Jenna are fighting is because of Tracy’s porno videogame, Goregasm!, made about a trillion dollars (that might not be an exact amount), and Jenna wants a cut of the profits for having provided the orgasmic audio track. Liz Lemon wants Oprah to help with the dispute resolution, proving she is way too freaking cool to go the obvious and superlame route of Dr. Phil.

Episode 3.01 is called “Do-Over.” Will Arnett will reprise his role as Devon Banks. Episode 3.02 features Oprah playing herself. There’s an ongoing feud between Jenna and Tracy that may go into future episodes. Episode 3.03 features Jennifer Aniston as Claire Harper, Liz’s college roommate who stalks Jack “fatal attraction” style after the two get together. Episode 3.04 is entitled “Reunion” and will focus on Liz’s 20 year High School Reunion. We’ll meet some of Liz’s classmates including Erin, the former homecoming queen that Liz used to make fun of because of the birthmark on her face.

Jennifer Anistons playing a ex-roommate of Liz’s that starts stalking Jack. Personally, I was hoping she was going to turn up in the episode they’re shooting later this week: It centers on Liz’s 20-year high school reunion, and it sounds like a riot. There are at least three characters – all of them former classmates of Liz’s – that would’ve been perfect for Aniston, although I’m kind of partial to Erin, the former homecoming queen that Liz used to make fun of because of the birthmark on her face.
