I Know, I Know…

Posted June 28th, 2009 By Shark Eyes

…I’m already slacking! Sorry about that! I’ll get more into the swing of things as the summer rolls on!

First of all, here is the Season 3 Box Art! As always, Jack and Jane never fail to make me smile!

Second, as Johnny Mac graciously let us know, Season 4 Premiere date has been set! October 15th, 2009. Personally, I think that’s late and uncool, but what can you do? I believe there is another round of the Thursday Night Live in the fall pushing this back AGAIN. I can look into that and check…

And the last bit I have for now. If you didn’t see our “Jane Krakowski is Awesome” post, she is staring in some Ice Cream Webisodes for Breyers. Now I had only see the Gone With The Wind one, but there is now one based around King Kong! You can watch both of them here.

The Girl Is Back In Town?

Posted June 10th, 2009 By Shark Eyes

Well hello kids! It’s me, Shark Eyes! Yes, I actually exist! Crazy huh?

So what I’m here to say is that I am taking over for the Summer. Matt and Moonvest (yes, he exists too) have abandoned me yet again and have left me in charge. If you guys have been coming to the site for awhile, you’ll remember that I did this last summer too. I guess Matt feels I can handle it, since nothing really happens over the summer, besides Emmy Nods, which I’m pretty sure I can handle! I just wanted to give you all a heads up. I’m going to do my best to try and find anything worth posting. If you guys are looking for anything specific, you can judge nudge and prod me into doing it for you.

If you have any other ideas as well, shoot them my way! I’m not as electronically savvy as Matt is, but I will do what I can! I’m going to try and update the Joke Directory, because you all have done such a great job suggesting stuff for that! But any other stuff you all are looking for or what you want the site to do, let me know! That’s all for now!

Forbes 100 Most Powerful Celebrities

Posted June 6th, 2009 By Matt

Forbes released it’s annual list of the 100 Most Powerful Celebrities.  And asides from Oprah being knocked out of her #1 spot, I was surprised to find that not only Tina Fey, but Alec Baldwin as well made the list.  Tina is ranked #86 while Alec was right behind her at #91.   Here’s the full list.  As you can see it’s a very serious list so it’s pretty cool that two 30 Rockers made it.  (Interesting note: Tina was ranked #14 in the TV category.)

30 Rock nominated for TCA Award

Posted June 4th, 2009 By Matt

30 Rock is once again nominated for the Television Critics Association Award!  Last year it won the Outstanding Achievement in Comedy award where it is nominated again this year.

Both Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are nominated in the Individual Achievement in a Comedy award.  Tina is the only woman in the category.  Last year she became only the 2nd woman to win it.  (The TCA is usually male dominated.  The only women nominated this year were Tina and Glen Close.)

There’s some pretty tough (and good!) competiton this year so good luck 30 Rock, Tina, Alec and all the nominees.

The TCA Awards will be presented August 1st.

Nominees under the break.

Dream Emmy Ballots

Posted May 31st, 2009 By Matt

EW and TWOP released their dream Emmy ballots last week and as expected, 30 Rock made a lot of top 6’s.  Both sited 30 Rock for Best Comedy series and the cast made it as well.

Here’s EW’s Lead Actor/Actress lists, which Tina and Alec both made.  And here’s the supporting race where Tracy and Jane made the cut!

Over at Television Without Pity, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Jane Krakowski, Tracy Morgan and Jack McBrayer all made the dream ballots!  I’m glad the supporting actors on 30 Rock are starting to get some attention.  They really deserve nominations!  Hopefully they’ll make it.  (Emmy noms come out July.)

NBC’s ‘09 Fall Schedule

Posted May 19th, 2009 By Matt

Some good news/badness today from NBC’s upfronts.

The good news: “30 Rock” will keep it’s post “Office” time slot.

The bad news: “30 Rock” will not be starting until after another run of “SNL Weekend Update Thursday.”

It’s a little different than before.  SNL will air at 8:00 while the new show “Community” will take the post-Office spot to help launch the show.  When SNL’s run ends, Community will move to the start of the night and “30 Rock” will air.

No word on when that will be though.  SNL WU Thursday was ordered for 6 episodes, though I doubt all 6 will air in the fall.

Hopefully we’ll hear about the number of episodes and premiere date here soon!

(Also Chuck will return this spring!)

NBC schedule under the break:

What’s Happening on PCB this Summer?

Posted May 19th, 2009 By Matt

So the end of 30 Rock’s 3rd season has left us antsy until Season 4 starts in the fall.  You may ask to yourself, what will a 30 Rock fansite be doing while waiting for new episodes of 30 Rock?  Well let me tell you:

Plenty!

  • First, we’re going to start an “In-Joke Directory” of sorts cataloging recurring jokes like “Shut it Down” that recur on the show.  We’ll definitely need suggestions on what to include.  (Thanks you guys for this idea!)
  • Every week or so we will work on updating a new character page with Season 3 detail and we’ll need your help!
  • We will be keeping you up to date on the reruns.
  • PCB will stay up to date with Emmy news.  (Nominations in July!)
  • We will stay current with Season 3 DVD news.
  • News about the 4th season as it breaks.
  • We will be putting together a voting system to determine which episodes of 30 Rock the fan community likes best.
  • And more!
  • So what can you do to get your 30 Rock fix this summer?

  • Watch the reruns!
  • Follow us on Twitter to stay up to date.
  • Visit Pregnant Cornbread often and chat with us about various news items and such.
  • Watch “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
  • Go back and comment on past episodes.  We love to see what people think!
  • GET A FRIEND (or two) HOOKED ON 30 ROCK!
  • DVDs!!
  • If anyone has any other fun ideas be sure to share and we’ll see what we can do!
